ODISHA STATE SESSION
Odisha is strategically leveraging its long coastline for port-led industrialization as a cornerstone of the "Viksit Odisha" vision, aligning with Viksit Bharat 2047. Odisha aims to scale port capacity from the current 80 MTPA to 500 MTPA by 2047 through modernization and developing new ports, with a focus on port-led-development.
The session will explore the future of ports and services related to developing Coastal Economic Zones (CEZs), shipbuilding, ship repair hubs, port-based industries and promoting the blue economy. It will highlight the state's strategic initiatives, infrastructure developments, and investment opportunities, engage with industry leaders and policymakers in discussions on enhancing port connectivity, leverage port services for industrial growth, and attract private investments.
