GOA STATE SESSION

Goa stands at the forefront of India’s maritime transformation, where the deep blue seas and rivers meet lush green shores and ecosystems in perfect harmony. With one major port, five non-major ports and six national waterways, the State is driving forward projects that strengthen trade, tourism and connectivity through sustainable and innovative practices.

Under the visionary leadership of the Government of Goa and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Goa is pioneering a sustainable maritime model that balances economic growth with ecological preservation. From promoting green-energy vessels and smart green ports to developing inland waterways, cruise tourism, capacity building and coastal livelihoods, Goa is charting a course toward a future that is both prosperous and planet-friendly.

This initiative embodies Goa’s commitment to “Blue Growth with Green Responsibility,” setting a national benchmark for sustainable coastal and maritime development across India.
